Update to my 3rd and 4th May & June 2026 visits: Found good parking! This time I got 2 pound cakes so buttery moist. I got a coconut pie which was amazing buttery and sweet. I got 2 German chocolate which was so moist and soft with great icing which I could use more of 😆. I got a strawberry cheese cake that was so heavy and rich!! I made my husband share it with me 😆 So delightful! I had 2 pineapple coconut slices which is my favorite cake!!! Very moist and fresh! The yellow cake Chocolate icing was ok. Cake was a little dry and icing was good but a little more would be nice for the thickness of the cake. It was a solid homemade cake though. I forgot to get cookies! 🍪 next visit. 2nd visit!! 4/10/26 yall! I got 3 pound cakes, 2 pineapple coconut cakes , the nut brownie, pecan coconut cookie 🍪 to share! The brownie is classic bakery with icing fresh and moist! You’ll never forget satisfying your sweet tooth here. First time here and I found it by surprise. I was grabbing Chinese from across the street and saw the word “bakery” 😳 I said “Hold up wait a minute! Cake is calling my name!😆” I crossed the street and found a simple bakery with lovely goods!! Love the pound cake and chocolate chip cookies. Hands down the best banana pudding in Newark. You can only get it weekends and it runs out fast.

Great to see the bakery was still open. I had a request from my 96 year old mother in law for some bread pudding. In my mind there's only one place too go for the best bread pudding and that's Level One. Thank you she really enjoyed the bread pudding. Looking forward to seeing you again.

This place is amazing! My sweet tooth was calling me and google brought me to this place...turned out to be a gem. I met two people who I think were the owners and they were very nice and welcoming. There’s a wide variety of items but I really had my heart set on macadamia cookies (one didn’t make it into the photo). Everything was delicious! A huge surprise was the red velvet cookie (devoured on my drive home therefore not photographed), which came with chocolate chips and macadamia! Will be back soon!
